How does the faucet work?

We want to make it as easy as possible to get testnet tokens. Take a look below at how the faucet works.

FAQs

What is a faucet?

A faucet is a way for web3 users to obtain testnet, or sometimes mainnet, tokens to their wallet for to get started using various blockchain networks or protocols, e.g. to help pay initial gas fees for testing transactions.

The term “faucet” is used because tokens are usually “dripped” in small amounts over a period of time.

For this faucet, we offer testnet BERA tokens on the bArtio testnet of Berachain. Don't know about Berachain? Learn more here.

How does this work?

You sign up to Validation Cloud, enter your wallet address, set the number of tokens and hit request. Then we send them.

Are there rate limits?

To prevent abuse, you can only get a certain amount of tokens each month. The exact amount will depend on which network you are requesting them for and whether you are a Free user of a Scale user.

What if it doesn’t work?

We aim to provide a faucet that "just works". If we run out of tokens, we will indicate that within the faucet and look to top it up again as soon we can.
